Bug Lovers Nature Walk
Hosted by Bug Lovers of Launceston
We love bugs! We are a small group of entomologists and fans of all small creatures. We provide get-togethers to talk about bugs, look at bugs, take photo's of bugs and more.
We walk in nature, drink tea and talk about critters. Sometimes if the weather is bad, we undertake research at the library.
We have an annual movie night with bug-themed treats and mocktails.
Everyone is free to come along!
Bug lovers unite as we explore the beautiful Mount Field National Park on foot in search of all creatures tiny and small!
Prepare to be astounded by the diversity of bugs. If we're lucky, we may time our adventure to witness the long-tailed firefly migration.
Bring your sturdy footwear, warm weatherproof clothing, your cameras and your notebooks.

Christmas Beetle Bonanza
Normally when you think of Christmas and bugs, the only bug you might think of is “Bah Humbug”! Well, we aren’t referring to that kind of bug. We want to share what very well might be your new favourite bug when it comes to Christmas. If a bug were a Christmas ornament, this would be it. Allow us to introduce you to the Christmas Beetle.
